Kudremukh National Park is located in Dakshina Kannada and Chikmagalur districts of Karnataka. It is second largest Wildlife Protected Area of a tropical wet evergreen type of forest in the Western Ghats. This place is rich in Magnetite Iron Ore which can be found only in three places across the world (Kudhremukh of Karnataka, Brazil and in Australia).

The Kudhremukh National Park is home to many wild animals including Tigers, Leopards, Wild Dogs, Barking deer, Sambar, Lion Tailed Macaque and more than hundred varieties of birds can be also be found here. The place for its rich bio-diversity holds UNESCO world Heritage status.
